The Platstoel was designed as an elegant and simple outdoor lounging chair. The lack of armrests make this a very open and versatile chair that works well as is, or with the addition of a thin cushion.
The chairs were made for the tasting locale of a high-end wine estate. They had to be elegant, simple, durable and comfortable to use for all sorts of occasions, from casual to formal.
