I was visiting my uncle and aunt in Colorado, and I had some spare time on my hands. So I decided to make myself an electric guitar. I spent a lot of time and effort on this project, and I am so happy with the end results. She plays like a dream!

BODY - SPRAYING PROCESS
I had very limited resources for this project, and was spraying with spray cans in my uncle’s garage. (apologies for the photo quality)

NECK - CUT, SAND & OIL
I shaped the headstock based off of Stevie Ray Vaughn’s famous guitar, Lenny. After sanding, I finished the neck with Tung oil.

BODY - LACQUER FINISH
I used a brush on lacquer finish with the hopes that it would crack and discolour with age. I did a lot of hand sanding and polishing to give this guitar a beautiful, shiny finish.
